First day of school.......finally! :)

Well, thanks to Hurricane (or Tropical Storm) Fay, Katey started her Pre-K4 school year this morning, and already has tomorrow off! Rude weather!!! Hopefully though, it will pass by with just a little wind and rain and no power outages and damage! Anyway, Katey had a great first day. She arrived with wet hair (swimming class MW at 8am!) and rarin' to go! She was so excited to see her friends. It's going to be a great year!

Dance Camp

Today was the last day of dance camp and the class put on a little show. Katey and her 3 friends (small class this week.......love it!) danced to "I feel pretty" from West Side Story (one of my all time favorites). It was pretty darn funny. This was a 5-6 year old class......I didn't want Katey in with the 3-4 year-olds since she's almost 5. Beside the fact that she's petite to begin with, those girls towered over her. She had a blast........can you tell? :)

Nap time.....

I am fortunate that Katey will still take a nap.........I fear my days are numbered! Yes, after putzing around for about a half hour, she finally fell asleep this afternoon. Even in her sleep, she manages to crack me up........what's with the head wrap? :)

Bikes, Bubbles, Bayshore and Miss Bobby

Katey and I ventured out onto Bayshore this morning......it was SO hot, and only 9am!! We ran into our good friend Miss Bobby who just adores Katey. Miss B loves bubbles too so Katey gave her a few gratuitous waves from her bubble wand and we went on our way. She's getting so good on her bike that I had to run to keep up......I am NOT a runner any more and my thighs were killing me when we got home. Hope you're having a great weekend.......and not as hot as we are down here!!!

Birthday preview

Katey went to Nolan's "Pump it Up" birthday party today and had a blast! We are having Katey's BD at the same place next month so this visit was a great warm up for the REAL THING. Katey's so excited to turn 5! :)

Just a swingin'

We went to Anthony's to swim this afternoon and absent minded Mom forgot to bring Katey a change of clothes. No problem there......after a quick dive into their Goodwill bag, we found some of Anthony's old clothes.....perfectly adorable! We closed the afternoon with a whirl on their tree swing. School tomorrow......one more week and then 3 weeks home with Mommy....wish me luck with my "power-working!"

Rainy Days....

Katey has a new "just her size" umbrella and couldn't wait to try it out. It seems though, that she had more fun catching the rain in her mouth than keeping dry under the umbrella! :)
