Saturday in the park.......

We love our park! They finally got the water spouts fixed and Katey enjoyed her first spout-spash of the year. It wouldn't be complete without a swing and then frozen yogurt by the fountain. Fun morning.........and now she sleeps........!

Fun (and exhausting) 4th!

We spent the 4th in Sarasota at Gamma's house. We went over to a friend's to watch the fireworks and were lucky enough to be able to go out on their boat and watch the fireworks up close and personal from the Bayfront. Besides the dinner cruise in China (which really doesn't count), Katey had never been out on a boat before so it was extra exciting. The rest of the weekend we spent eating and swimming. Katey perfected her cannonball and had a great time......she's turning into quite the little tadpole! On our way out of town, we stopped by Susan, Bruce and Maggie's (K's cousins) for more swimming......Mom and Greg sat that one out! We were so tired when we got home last night that we were all asleep before 10! Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th!

Buc's are HOT!

We braved the HEAT (and it's ONLY June!) and went to the Buccaneer's "Fan Fest" this morning. Having never been, we didn't know we needed to camp out to get the coveted vouchers to meet the marquis players, so we just walked around on the field for a while before escaping to Chili's. Quite frankly, I think Katey and Anthony enjoyed the visit to Chili's the most! I know Greg and I did......air conditioning and food, can't beat that! :)

It's Summertime!

Happy Summer to everyone! We don't have much planned......just going to hang around. ;) Actually Katey is in summer school and is taking art and has her swimming lessons. Other than that, we're just planning on having fun.....hope you are too! BTW, Katey's friend Anthony took this picture......pretty impressive for a 5 year old, huh?

My, how things have changed!

Katey's room is FINALLY finished! She has been very patient and it has paid off.......we are thrilled with her new "big girl" bed, duvet, etc.! We've come a long way since the crib, then day bed, and now a room fit for a princess.

No school!

School is closed this week so today went to Busch Gardens with Anthony, Katey's friend from school and his Mom, Sita. We ran around for 3 hours and got out of there before the major crush of the crowd. Katey's going to miss Anthony next year because he starts kindergarten at a new school. :(

Self Portrait

Katey whipped this out as we were waiting for gymnastics to start yesterday. While it's not one of her normal majorly colorful drawings, the significance (to me) is that is the first time she's drawn herself with "Asian" hair......I thought it was kind of cool.
